LORI FLOWERS

Lori Flowers is a seasoned marketing professional with close to 20 years of experience working in radio. She is currently the Marketing Director for Radio One Atlanta, where she oversees the marketing and promotional efforts for the Atlanta radio stations. This career path has afforded her the opportunity to work in a variety of different cities including Phoenix, West Palm Beach, Miami, Washington, DC and Atlanta.
She attended college at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee where she received her
Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Communications. Additionally she
also received a Masters of Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of
Journalism and Telecommunications at Arizona State University.
Lori is also involved in numerous professional organizations and has successfully
completed course work with the National Association of Broadcasters that include;
Leadership Development, Executive Leadership Development and Broadcast
Leadership Training.
Lori has a heart for developing young women professionally and has since
started her own mentorship program called “Radio Chicks”. Young ladies learn
firsthand the ins and outs of the industry and how to grow effectively while not
compromising their values.
A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, she also had a TV debut
on HGTV’s “My First Place” where the search for her first home was captured
on TV and continues to air on the network. She has also been featured in
Who’s Who in Black Atlanta on numerous occasions.
She has a positive outlook on life and stays true to her motto which is,
“Life is too short, so live each day to the fullest.”
